How to take care of your LuxeHair

LuxeHair is made to be worn, loved, and reused. The better you care for it, the longer it keeps its soft, polished, natural-looking finish. Brush gently. Wash rarely. Store properly.

The Golden Rules

Always detangle from the ends first, then move upward.

Wash only when needed

Wash only when there is visible product buildup, dust, or odor.

Use cool or lukewarm water

Never use hot water, as it can damage the fiber.

Avoid heavy products

Oils, masks, leave-in creams, and strong styling products can make the hair heavy or sticky.

Avoid sleeping & showering with extensions

Remove your LuxeHair before bed, showering, swimming, or intense workouts.

Heat-style only up to 180°C

Use low to medium heat only, and never over-style the same section repeatedly.

How to Brush LuxeHair?

Before washing, wearing, or storing your extensions, gently brush them to remove tangles. Start at the ends and slowly work your way up toward the clips or attachment. Do not pull, tug, or brush aggressively, especially when the hair is wet.

Best practice: hold the hair near the top while brushing so you do not put pressure on the clips, mesh, or attachment area.

How to Wash LuxeHair?

  1. Detangle first. Gently brush the hair from the ends upward before washing.
  2. Prepare water. Fill a sink or bowl with cool to lukewarm water and add gentle shampoo.
  3. Soak gently. Move the hair softly from side to side. Do not rub, twist, scrub, or squeeze.
  4. Rinse carefully. Rinse with cool water until the shampoo is fully removed.
  5. Remove excess water. Gently press with a towel. Do not twist or wring it.
  6. Air dry only. Lay flat on a clean towel and allow it to air dry completely.

Which Products to Use?

Use a small amount of gentle, lightweight shampoo. Avoid heavy conditioners, oils, masks, and leave-in products unless they are specifically safe for synthetic or heat-resistant fiber.

Use: gentle shampoo, wide-tooth comb, soft brush, and heat protectant suitable for synthetic hair if heat styling.

Avoid: heavy oils, hair masks, purple shampoo, bleach, hair dye, strong alcohol-based sprays, salt spray, and sticky gels.

Heat Styling Rules

LuxeHair Futura fiber can be heat-styled up to 180°C, but heat should be used carefully. Use low to medium heat and test a small hidden section first. Do not hold heat tools on the hair for too long, and avoid repeatedly styling the same piece.

Important: Heat can change the shape of the fiber. Once styled, allow the hair to cool completely before brushing or touching it.

How to Care for Different LuxeHair Pieces

Clip-In Extensions

Brush before removing and after wearing. Close the clips before storing to prevent snagging. Store flat or in a satin/silk bag.

U-Shaped Clip-Ins

Hold the base while brushing so you do not pull on the attachment area. Avoid bending or folding the base too tightly when storing.

Mesh Ponytails

Brush the ponytail gently from the ends upward. Avoid pulling directly on the mesh base. Store the ponytail loose, not crushed.

Velcro Wrap Ponytails

Brush carefully and keep the velcro area clean. Do not let the velcro catch onto the hair fiber because it can cause tangling.

Curly & Afro Styles

Do not brush curls aggressively. Use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to shape curls. For afro textures, gently fluff with your fingers.
